On the Apparel of Women - Written by Quintas Septimus Florens Tertullian (ca 160-ca 225), an early Christian thinker from Carthage. It describes practices which the writer sees as sinful and suggests ways for a proper Christian is to dress as opposed to her pagan neighbors. It's delightfully sexist. This translation was originally published in 1885 in the ten-volume Ante-Nicene Fathers and is made available online by Christian Classics Ethereal Library.
